Overview
The Genaray Twin Sun 1 × 2-foot bi-color LED floodlight provides ultrabright yet soft, wraparound continuous light for photo and video shoots. It provides a bright and punchy light with 120-degree coverage, but the integrated diffuser and recessed LEDs eliminate multiple shadows and hot spots, so no other diffusion is necessary. The Twin Sun is ready to go to work right out of the box. This 1 × 2-foot fixture operates on AC or battery power, and it features flicker-free light that’s ideal for shooting video at high frame rates The Twin Sun supports DMX512 so the light’s settings can be remotely controlled from a DMX console. It has 512 selectable channels and a 3-pin XLR output jack to daisy-chain other DMX-compatible lights. Twin Sun fixtures are housed in a heavy-duty metal chassis that can withstand the most demanding professional environments. For compatibility in the studio, the integrated yoke can be mounted to a light stand with a baby pin or junior receiver.

Powerful but Soft
The Twin Sun throws a bright and punchy light and provides a broad 120-degree coverage with a soft wraparound quality that’s ideal for photo or video shoots.
Adjustable Color Temperature
The Twin Sun’s color temperature is adjustable from 3200 to 5600 K in 100 K increments. You can dial up a precise color temperature to accentuate your subjects or match other light fixtures or the ambient lighting on your set.
Dimmer Control
Take advantage of 100% to 10% dimming capabilities for the exact output level you need for your exposure.
Flicker-Free Light
It would be nice if we could always shoot outside and use the sun as the light source. But indoors, flicker can be a serious problem, especially if you’re shooting at high frame rates. The Twin Sun is a flicker-free fixture, so when you’re shooting in slow motion, you won’t see the black bands that occur onscreen when shooting with fluorescent lights or tungsten bulbs.
Single Shadow
The recessed LEDs and the diffuser combine to eliminate multiple shadows and hot spots that are common when you’re lighting with LED panels. What you get it a beautiful, soft, and even light without harsh shadows.
Battery or AC Power
The Twin Sun runs on a battery or AC power. It’s a multivoltage fixture capable of running on 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz, so with the proper plug adapter, this light is ready for worldwide use. For cable-free portability, you can also power the unit using a V-mount battery (not included).
DMX512
the Twin Sun supports DMX512 technology, which is a plus when you’re using the Twin Sun for live events like theater, concerts, or fashion shows. This allows you to control the light’s settings remotely from a DMX lighting control console, which is a great feature whether you’re preprogramming chases or running your lights on the fly.
Color Accuracy
You won’t need to spend your time at the computer, color correcting your shots. With a CRI over 97, and a TLCI over 98, the Twin Sun’s color output is extremely accurate.
Fan Cooling
To avoid noise that can be picked up by a microphone, the Twin Sun’s fan can be shut off with its dedicated on/off switch. Like most LEDs there is a power drop when the fan is turned off, but the Twin Sun only minimally drops to 80% brightness. If you’re operating at less than 80% brightness, there will be no change.
Barndoors and Filter Clips
Integrated barndoors let you shape your light while controlling light spill. Clips on the barndoors hold gels in place for even more precise diffusion and color control of your light.
Mounting Options
The integrated yoke offers mounting options for light stands that have a 5/8-inch (baby-pin) or 1⅛-inch (junior-pin) receiver.
LEDs are Cool
The Twin Sun draws 200 W and outputs a brilliant beam, but its LED array generates minimal heat so you can move your light close to your subjects without overheating or melting them. You’ll also save time because you don’t need to wait for your light to cool off before you move it.
