Overview
If you’re stepping up from on-camera LED lighting, Angler’s slim and lightweight 865BLED from Angler’s Sparta-series LEDs is a compact and powerful fixture that adds versatility to your set. This dependable fixture is ideal for head shots, portraits, and interviews on small sets due to its color accuracy, precise brightness, and color temperature control. It operates on plug-in power, and runs on two NP-F batteries when you need to take it to a location shoot. Exact color temperature control lets you match other light fixtures on a set or natural ambient daylight. Whether you’re shooting indoors with other tungsten fixtures or outdoors in bright sunlight, the 865BLED will match your other light sources for a seamless look. Output is adjusted in 1% increments, so you can dial in the exact brightness for your exposure. Included barndoors limit direction of your beam by controlling light spill. With an additional wireless remote (sold separately), you can control the output and color temperature of multiple Sparta-series lights as well as several lights from Angler and Genaray.

Adjustable Color Temperature
The color temperature is adjustable from 3200 to 5600 K in 100 K increments, so you can precisely match the other lights on your set, or the prevailing ambient lighting at your location. While other shooters are rummaging through their gels, you can dial in the exact color temperature you need for your shot.
AC or DC Power
Run the light on plug-in power when you’re indoors and there’s a convenient outlet. But when you’re shooting outdoors, or at a location without an available outlet, use two NP-F batteries to power the 865BLED. Keep a few additional NP-F replacement batteries (available separately) handy to add hours to your session.
Accurate Color Rendering
For accurate color that jumps off the screen, the CRI 94.6 and TCLI 96.5 offers high color accuracy. The 865BLED delivers accurate hues that don’t have to be tweaked or reworked on the computer.
Precise Dimming
Dial in the perfect brightness for your exposure or video, or match the brightness of your location’s ambient lighting. The 856BLED can adjust to the precise brightness you need for subtle and effective lighting.
Remote Control
Whether you’re shooting with a single, or several, Sparta-series and Genaray lights, you can control your lights’ brightness, and the ratio in a multi-light setup, from up to 100 feet away with the MB-WRT remote transmitter (sold separately). If you’re shooting interviews at a convention with a lot of other photographers or videographers in the area, 99 selectable channels ensure that you won’t be bothered by interference from other remotes.
Durable Metal Construction
A light that travels with you should be durable. And Sparta-series lights answer the call. With a durable metal yoke and housing, the 865BLED can take some bumps and jolts in transport and still be ready to go to work when you arrive.
