Overview

Polsen’s M85-B microphone is a rugged dynamic microphone that’s perfect for recorded or live vocals and speech. The durable metal construction is good for applications where microphones might have to absorb some bumps or drops, like “live mic” clubs and concert tours. The microphone features a cardioid polar pattern that rejects off-axis noise and concentrates on the sound in front of it, which is great for live rooms because it minimizes the possibility of feedback. The wide frequency response is tailored for vocals and speech, so whether you’re singing or speaking to a crowd, your voice will be clear, crisp, and intelligible.

Features

For Vocals and Speech

The M85-B features a frequency response that’s tailored for vocals and speech. The mid-range frequencies are slightly boosted for intelligibility and vocal texture. The bass roll-off prevents rumble and other low frequency noise like room noise from affecting your performance or recording.

Solid Metal Construction

Microphones can take a beating in clubs or on the road. The durable metal construction ensures that even if the mic is dropped or bumped the show will go on.

On/Off Switch

The on/off switch quickly mutes the microphone for those moments when you’re saying something you don’t want the audience to hear. So whether you’re barking instructions at the DJ, or you just bashed you knee into the mic stand, they’ll never know what you’re saying until you want them to.

Dynamic Microphone

The M85-B doesn’t require batteries or phantom power to operate. Just plug it in, set your levels, and go to work.

XLR Output

If you’re running your mic cable past TVs, computers, or stereos, the balanced XLR output ensures you won’t pick up unwanted static or hum from interference that can bring any project to a halt.

Cardioid Polar Pattern

The cardioid polar pattern rejects off-axis sound and focuses on the sound directly in front of it. That’s a great feature when you’re recording in a noisy room, because the M85-B will reject a lot of the extraneous sound while it focuses on your voice or instrument. If you’re rehearsing with a band, the M85-B will reject the bleed from speakers in the room that can cause feedback.
