Overview

Whether you’re shooting wildlife or sports, the Magnus GH-M1 gimbal-type tripod head ensures that you can quickly aim and shoot your subject, even with a heavy or unwieldy lens. When you balance a large or heavy lens along its vertical and horizontal axes, you can quickly tilt or swivel it for fast and effortless aiming. And your lens will remain securely in place once it’s positioned. The GH-M1 mounts onto most tripods with a 3/8-16 threaded stud, and it’s a great tool for capturing those moments that you’d miss with a handheld camera. The GH-M1 is engineered with a sturdy curved aluminum main arm that supports up to 30 pounds, yet it balances the load so even a large lens feels weightless.

Features

Supports Up to 30 Pounds

The GH-M1 gimbal head is designed to balance a setup of up to 30 lb. It lets you effortlessly maneuver a heavy camera and lens that would ordinarily be too large or cumbersome to move or aim quickly.

Smooth and Fluid Motion

Some subjects just don’t hold still. When you’re shooting birds, wildlife, or sports, the GH-M1 will give you smooth and even motion when you’re moving the lens along either axis. You’ll be able to aim your camera effortlessly while you’re tracking a subject.

Balance and Stability

The GH-M1’s adjustable features allow you to quickly balance your gear while providing support and stability. For sports and wildlife photography, the gimbal head delivers stability that balances and holds your camera in place while you get your shot.

Compatible with Tripods and Most Lens Collars

The GH-M1 is compatible with most tripods that have a 3/8-16 threaded stud. A 1/4-inch threaded mounting screw is compatible with most lens collars.

Arca-Type Quick Release

The Arca-type quick-release plate allows you to quickly mount your camera and lens to the gimbal head. Attach quick-release plates to multiple setups to make swapping cameras and lenses a breeze. The included plate incorporates security pins that prevent it from accidentally slipping off the mounting platform.

Numbered Scales

Wildlife isn’t going to wait for you to balance your lens every time you use it. Then next time you use your lens, you won’t need to go through finding the perfect balance again. The numbered scale on the side arm lets you mark your setup position, which will help you quickly rebalance your lens the next time you use it.

Easy to Grip

The locking knobs are easy to grip to securely lock the panning base, swinging arm, platform adjustment, and quick-release plate locks.
