Overview
Pearstone’s CAT6-S is an ideal cable for large network installations whether you’re wiring a home, office, or entire building for gigabit connectivity with gigabit and 10GbE networks. Since it’s rated to 550 MHz, this Cat6 cable will accommodate ever-increasing Ethernet speeds. The durable and heavily jacketed cable is rated for commercial use and meets or exceeds all Cat6 standards for reliable and speedy data transfer, even over long cable runs. Cat6 cables reduce the crosstalk and interference that can slow the speed of your network. To further minimize crosstalk, the CAT6-S cable is constructed with an internal nylon spline that separates and isolates the four twisted pairs. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors assure reliable conductivity and the highest possible Ethernet speeds while resisting corrosion. The snagless boot design is an added feature that prevent the connectors from catching on other cables—a plus when wiring a network.
Features
Gold-Plated RJ-45 Connectors
Gold plating enhances conductivity and assures the fastest possible data transmission speeds. Gold connectors are also noncorrosive for long cable life.
Gigabit Compatible
The CAT6-S cable is capable of a 550 MHz transmission speed, which is perfect for connecting to gigabit and 10GbE networks. Upgrading to Cat6 patch cables will keep your network compatible with increasing transmission speeds.
Isolated Twisted-Pair Construction
The bare copper conductors are tightly twisted to minimize RF and EM interference and near-end crosstalk that can slow down the speed of your network. For additional rejection of unwanted interference, the cable is constructed with an internal nylon spline that separates and isolates the four twisted pairs. This feature offers additional network speed for data-intense applications like streaming video.
Molded Snagless Boot
If you’ve ever added or removed an ethernet cable from multi-port ethernet switch or the back of a machine rack, you know a cable’s release tab can and will catch or snag on anything. The cable’s molded boot covers the tab so you can smoothly pull the cable through a bundle without snagging.
Flexible and Durable
Flexibility and durability are important when selecting patch cables, because you need them to flex, bend, and withstand frequent connecting and disconnecting. This cable is constructed with a bare copper stranded conductor that allows you to flex the cable as needed. The PVC jacket is durable enough to withstand heavy use.
Colors
To make sure all your cables don’t look alike, and so you don’t use the wrong cable, Pearstone offers a wide variety of colors for easy cable tracing and identification.
