Overview
Xcellon BT5A offers Bluetooth 5.0 support for PC computers that don’t have built-in Bluetooth support, or are running older versions of Bluetooth. If your computer is running an older version of Bluetooth, this is the upgrade you’ve been waiting for. Bluetooth 5 is much more powerful and efficient than its predecessors. Bluetooth 5 delivers four times the range for compatible devices. Use headphones, printers, speakers, and keyboards much further away from your computer, without losing the connection. With two times the data transfer speed of older Bluetooth versions, there’s more power to control Internet of Things (IoT) devices like the smart appliances around your home. And thanks to Bluetooth 5’s low energy mode, its efficiency will save battery life on low-energy devices that always seemed to run out of charge at the wrong time, like wireless fitness wearables, speakers, and headphones.
Features
Bluetooth 5 Connection for PCs
Plug the adapter into an available USB port on your computer, and you’ve entered the world of Bluetooth 5. If your computer didn’t support Bluetooth, you can throw away all those USB cables, and connect all kinds of wireless devices to your computer like keyboards, mice, printers, and speakers.
Quadruples the Range
If you have an older version of Bluetooth, you’ll immediately notice the BT5A’s expanded range. Move devices to another room—or even another floor—without losing your connection. Your computer will be able to gather data from IoT appliances around your home, and you’ll be able to control devices like security cameras, thermostats, and appliances from a single location.
Doubles the Speed
Why Bluetooth 5? Because it doubles data transfer rates of previous Bluetooth versions. With this additional speed, you can do things that older Bluetooth versions couldn’t do, like stream CD-quality audio to two sets of compatible wireless headphones or speakers. With the BT5A adapter, you can share the audio with someone else while you’re mixing a music session or editing video on your laptop.
Low Energy Mode
Your home is filled with low-energy devices like thermostats, security cameras, and other smart devices. Bluetooth 5 is made with the ability to identify low-energy devices and regulate how much power it takes to communicate with them. This saves battery life for things that always seem to run low at the wrong times, like fitness wearables, headphones, home security devices.
Windows Compatible
This adapter features seamless functionality with computers that run Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11. Just download the driver you need from xcellongear.com, plug the adapter into an available USB port, and you’re in business.
Backwards Compatible
Bluetooth 5 is backward compatible with Bluetooth 4x, 3x, and 2.1, so you can continue to use your older peripherals with this adapter.
Compact and Portable
The BT5A adapter is designed to give you Bluetooth 5 connectivity wherever you go. It’s small enough to carry in your computer bag or just slip into your pocket or use the loop to attach it to a keychain or lanyard. It’s so small, you won’t even notice it when it’s plugged into your computer.
