Overview
Xcellon’s U6-1VPD-2 6-in-1 hub adds functionality to your USB Type-C™ equipped device by adding six extra ports to your setup. You can access your SD and microSD cards, connect to USB Type-C and Standard-A ports, and output your screen to a 4K monitor or TV via the HDMI cable all at once. The hub harnesses the power of the USB Type-C port and turns it into a versatile and powerful workstation that can satisfy any multitasking pro on the go. Access your photos and videos that you’ve stored on SD cards or an external hard drive, and view them all in stunning detail by outputting the signal to a monitor via the HDMI port. Two USB Standard-A ports allow you to connect your favorite peripherals like a keyboard, mouse, printer, and projector. Since the dock supports 100 W Power Delivery 3.0 pass-through charging, when you connect a USB-C charger to the hub’s USB-C port, you can charge your host device’s battery while you power your other connected devices. This hub is light and compact enough to carry in your pocket, and it’s bus powered, so no extra power sources or cables are necessary.
Features
Adds Six Ports
Don’t limit yourself to what’s achievable with a single USB Type-C port. The hub adds six ports for data transfer, video, as well as power to charge your device while you work. Whatever project you’re working on, like editing photos or video, recording or editing audio, or just streaming a movie, the dock provides connectivity to the devices that turn your USB Type-C device into a powerful workstation.
Power Delivery 3.0
Recharging computers, tablets, or smartphones with a single USB Type-C port means you have to disconnect everything else. The Xcellon 6-in-1 hub supports PD 3.0 for pass-through charging up to 100 W. That means you can plug a USB-C power adapter into the hub, and it will charge your computer’s battery, even if you’re using a power-hungry 16-inc MacBook Pro, while you continue to use of all the connected peripherals. PD 3.0 also gives you the advantage of running several peripherals without draining your host device’s battery. So, don’t stop what you’re doing while you charge your device. The hub’s PD 3.0 capability will let you maintain your workflow.
Role Swapping
The U6-1VPD-2 hub delivers power to your peripheral devices two different ways: with PD power or bus power, which is supplied directly from the host device’s USB-C port. The hub’s intelligent circuitry recognizes the power source and seamlessly switches from PD 3.0 to bus power without changing any settings or preferences.
SD and microSD Card Access
The dock features SD and microSD card readers so you can access huge files like photos, videos, or audio. You’ll be able to access to your files whether they’re stored on SD, SDHC, or SDXC cards up to 2 TB, as well as microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC card formats.
HDMI
When you get tired of squinting at a small screen just to see the fine details of your photos or video, use the HDMI port to output your screen to a larger monitor. The hub supports resolutions up to 4K @ 30 Hz. As long as your host device supports DP Alt mode, you can use the HDMI port to stream videos or look at your photos and raw footage in stunning detail on a 4K monitor or TV.
USB Standard-A Ports
Use the two USB Standard-A ports to attach USB 3.2 Gen 1 peripherals like hard drives to take advantage of the 5 Gbps data transfer speeds when you’re backing up files to an external device or editing photos and videos on your tablet. Both ports are backward compatible with USB 2.0 so you can add a keyboard, mouse, printer to your workstation.
Solid Aluminum Construction
A hub that’s this versatile and useful is too good to leave at home or in the office. The lightweight, compact hub is travel-ready and constructed with a solid aluminum chassis that can withstand bumps and dings. Throw it into your bag or pocket, and plug it in when you’re ready to go to work.
