Overview
The Impact VC-500WLN-II is a 500 Ws professional-grade digital monolight that provides versatile lighting solutions for studio and location shoots. With its lightning-fast 1.5-second recycle rate at full power, you can trigger when ready and capture all the action in real time without waiting for long recycle rates. It features sophisticated circuitry that support flash and COB LED modeling light features that will benefit any shoot, so you can capture the moment without your lights bogging you down. The powerful Impact Digital Monolight has a built-in 2.4 GHz multichannel wireless radio receiver. With the three-light kit’s included transmitter, you can trigger the monolight and adjust flash and monolight brightness from up to 328 feet away. Whether you’re using one or several monolights, the transmitter works with the WV-500WLN-II’s channel and group functions to arrange and segment them to your needs. The flash’s optical slave mode allows you to program up to five preflash signals before firing the flash. For extra functionality, use the integrated Bowens S-mount to attach light-modifiers like beauty dishes and snoots to shape and sculpt your beam.

Fast Flash Duration and Recycle Time
The VC-500WLN-II is capable of flash durations of up to 1/1200 second. This is ideal for freezing action when shooting fast-moving subjects in sports, nature, or fashion. Lightning-fast 1.5-second recycle times give you near-continuous shooting ability so you’ll never miss a shot.
Integrated 2.4 GHz Wireless Receiver
The integrated multichannel receiver can be used with the VC-500LXMT transmitter (available separately or with the VC-500WLN-II three-light kit). The 2.4 GHz radio signal triggers the flash from up to 328 feet away without line-of-sight positioning.
Wired Sync
The monolight has a 1/4 in. sync input for the reliability of a wired connection between your camera and the flash unit.
Modeling Light
The adjustable 25 W COB LED modeling light’s brightness can be set proportionally or independently of the flash power. When the monolight’s audio function is deactivated, the modeling light can also work as a recycle indicator.
Slave/Preflash Modes
The monolight has an optical slave on/off mode, six preflash modes, and a learning mode that allows it to automatically memorize the number of preflashes from your speedlight. This allows you to use the VC-500WLN-II as a slave with most on- or off-camera shoe-mount flashes.
CMOS Chip Circuitry
CMOS circuitry reduces the amount of heat generated by the circuit board. It also requires less power, resulting in the monolight’s cool and efficient operation.
Overheating and Overvoltage Protection
During long shooting sessions at high-power output, the recycling time of the flash will increase automatically until the flash cools to a safe level. Spike protection helps shield against unstable line voltages.
Adaptive Thermal Control (ATC)
The ATC regulates the internal heat of the unit by keeping the fan engaged during extended shooting sessions to prevent overheating.
Audio Alerts
The audio function announces alerts and functions, and it makes it easy to operate your monolights remotely.
Large and Bright LCD Display
The large and easy-to-read LCD display displays all flash and modeling light functions and is bright enough so you can clearly see it in bright lighting conditions or bright daylight.
Bowens Mount
If you already have Bowens-mount-style light modifiers, keep them! The integrated Bowens mount increases the monolight’s ability to shape and modify the light to your precise needs.
Low 5 V Trigger Voltage
The low 5-volt sync connection between the camera and monolight assures the safety of the circuitry within the camera.
Quiet Fan Cooling
The fan quietly cools the monolight to prevent overheating and with minimal noise that microphones can pick up.
Replaceable Flash Tube
Instructions are included so you can easily replace the 500 Ws flash tube.
