Overview
The Auray MS-SB1W is an affordable, stable, and reliable professional studio boom stand for positioning overhead microphones for broadcast and music applications. The stand features thick steel risers that reach a maximum height of 7.5 feet. The attached telescoping boom arm extends over seven feet, and with adjustable tilt, you can capture the source whether you’re setting up drum overheads, recording a choir, or overheads for dialog and ambient sound. Sturdy steel tube shafts and legs assure microphone stability without wobbling, and two-inch locking casters are perfect for gliding the stand over a variety of surfaces. The wide footprint diameter is fortified with leg struts, and an adjustable counterweight makes sure the stand will remain stable and balanced, even when boomed at full extension and maximum height.

Base with Locking Casters
Integrated locking 2-inch casters let you effortlessly move the Studio Boom Stand exactly where you need it. And once the stand is in position, the foot-operated locks make sure it doesn’t move or shift until it’s time to reposition it.
Adjustable Height and Boom Length
This stand features a height range from 4.3 to 7.5 feet and a maximum boom extension of over 7 feet for a wide range of setup options. Ergonomic locking knobs on the shaft, riser, and boom arm give you plenty of torque to hold your microphone and shock mount steady.
Adjustable Counterweight
The adjustable counterweight is great for balancing large-diaphragm microphones with the boom fully extended. Position the sliding 2.2-pound counterweight anywhere along the boom arm for the most balanced and stable microphone setup
Wide Steel Tubes
Wide steel shafts and legs provide all the stability you need to keep your gear steady, even at maximum height and extension.
Safety Pin
A safety pin is included to ensure the main shaft won’t come loose when you’re readjusting the height.
Ratchet Handle Tilt Lock
The boom arm can tilt 90 degrees up and down, giving you plenty of mic placement options. The ratchet handle lets you tighten the tilt lock with one hand while you’re supporting the boom with your other hand.
