Overview
The Kopul CMCS-1 is a passive on-camera signal combiner/splitter that’s a simple and lightweight solution for capturing sound with two microphones. It features dual mono inputs for external microphones and a 3.5 mm stereo output that will transmit a combined stereo signal or two discrete mono signals to a DSLR camera or camcorder. The compact and feather-light CMCS-1 is ideal for recording dialog, narration over ambient sound, or stereo soundscapes and is so simple to operate, it will improve your audio without any interruptions for your workflow.

Combines Two Mic Signals
Kopul’s CMCS-1 allows you to add two external microphones to your camera rig. Use two lavalier mics when you’re recording dialog, or a lavalier and a camera-mountable microphone for recording a narrator with some ambient sound.
Wide Frequency Response
There’s nothing like rich audio to enhance a video production. The wide 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response means the CMCS-1 can transmit detailed and accurate sound to your camera.
Simple to Use
The CMCS-1 couldn’t be simpler to use. Its passive design means no power source is necessary. All you do is plug in your 3.5 mm microphones, connect the included 3.5 mm cable to your camera’s audio input, and you’re ready to record.
Combines Two Signals
When you select mono mode, the CMCS-1 combines the inputs of both mics and outputs them to two channels. The two signals are married together, and in post production, you can tweak the level, EQ, or compression of the combined signals.
Splits Two Signals
When you select stereo mode, the CMCS-1 splits the two signals and outputs them to separate channels. This is ideal if you want the flexibility to alter the volume, EQ, compression, and panning on each individual track in post production. It’s also a great option if you want to record a stereo soundscape.
Camera Mountable
The CMCS-1 attaches directly to your camera’s hot shoe. Weighing less than two ounces, the CMCS-1 is feather light. You might not even know it’s there.
Mounting Socket
The CMCS-1 is outfitted with a ¼-20 mounting socket so you can conveniently mount it on a tripod or onto your camera rig.
