Overview
Ruggard’s Reusable Silicon Dioxide Pouch absorbs moisture from its surrounding space and protects your cameras, lenses, memory cards, and valuables from water vapor and humidity. When added to a hard camera bag, lens case, or memory card case, the contents will be protected from corrosive and damaging moisture. This fabric pouch is filled with 150 grams of silicon dioxide, one of the safest and most effective desiccants available. The exterior fabric changes color to let you know when it’s time to evaporate the moisture the pouch has picked up. A quick six minutes in the microwave dries out the gel, the circle in the center of the pouch changes color, and you know it’s ready to be redeployed.

Silicon Dioxide
Silicon dioxide is a common desiccant that’s used to remove moisture from the air. Used to minimize moisture in packages of numerous products, it’s a safe, non-toxic method to prevent moisture damage from corrosion, mold, or mildew.
Reusable
The pouch is made with a humidity-sensitive fabric that changes colors when the silicon dioxide gel has absorbed its maximum amount of moisture. Place the pouch in a microwave for a few minutes until the fabric changes to blue, which indicates the moisture has evaporated, and it’s ready to be redeployed with your gear.
Microwave Safe
The fabric and silicon dioxide gel are both microwave safe. Use the pouch according to directions and it will continue to absorb moisture over extended use.
