Overview
The Kopul BOOST-MATE-20 adds up to 25 dB of clean and transparent gain to any low-output dynamic or ribbon microphone. Place it inline between your mic and a mixing board or audio interface, and boost your mic’s output so you don’t have to turn up mic preamps that can add noise to your signal. The BOOST-MATE-20 features high-quality3-pin XLR inputs and outputs for flawless signal flow. Use it as a signal booster to increase the signal gain to an audio interface, or as a mic pre that connects directly to your mixing board. The BOOST-MATE-20 operates on 48 V phantom power but doesn’t pass it through, so sensitive ribbon mics will be protected from damage. Its metal construction and compact size are made for travel, and its sturdy design will last through live shows and repeated use when recording.

Signal Booster
The low-output signal of a dynamic or ribbon microphone needs a little boost before it reaches your audio interface or mixer. Dial up the gain as you watch your meters for the ideal signal level for your DAW or recorder.
Mic Pre
Your mixer’s mic preamplifiers can add noise to your signal when they‘re turned up too high. The BOOST-MATE-20 adds up to 25 dB to your microphone’s signal without cranking up your mixer’s mic preamps. This keeps the signal strong but clear, and suitable for recording.
Gain Control
A gain control knob lets you dial up as much volume as you need for optimum signal level. The stepless knob lets you precisely dial up as much gain as you need for your recording or gig.
XLR In and Out
Standard 3-pin XLR input and output connectors are compatible with most XLR mic cables. Locking XLR connectors also prevent disconnections due to accidental pulls or tugs on the cable.
Runs on Phantom Power
The BOOST-MATE-20 doesn’t need an external power source or batteries. It runs on the phantom power from your audio interface or mixing board, so you can use it almost anywhere. And the phantom power doesn’t pass through, so it won’t damage sensitive ribbon microphones.
Compact and Rugged
The BOOST-MATE-20 is small enough to slip into your pocket.
