Impact’s MGM-100 is the ideal way to mount light fixtures, grip gear, and cameras to your car or any metal surface where you’d like to position your equipment. This magnetic mount features an industry-standard 3/8-16 mounting stud to hold whatever gear or fixtures you need to get that incredible motion shot. The MGM-100 is outfitted with powerful rare-earth magnets that have a pull force of up to 100 lb. Your camera and gear will be secure and won’t slip out of place whether you’re shooting the action while you’re driving, boating, or snowmobiling. And the MGM-100 is made with rubber coating that won’t scratch or damage the surface its mounted on. The MGM-100 is designed to hold a camera or grip accessories, but you can add additional MGM-100s for a larger grip or multi-camera setup. 3/8-16 Threaded Stud
The MGM-100 features an industry-standard 3/8-16 threaded stud so you can mount a support arm for greater placement and aiming flexibility. You can also mount a ballhead that accommodates a camcorder as well as mirrorless and DSLR cameras for astounding action and driving sequences. Think of the lighting possibilities you’ll have when you’re able to mount a light fixture to the outside of a car so you can light the interior.
Firm Magnetic Hold
The MGM-100 is outfitted with rare earth magnets, which have a stronger magnetic field relative to their size. It boasts a 100 lb. vertical pull for base stability and holding power that can vary depending on the mounting surface. Place your light or camera where you want it, and you don’t have to think about it until you’re finished shooting.
Stable Base
The MGM-100 has a compact 5.3 in. diameter base. But don’t let the size fool you. The MGM-100 is made to securely grip onto surfaces, so your attachments won’t wobble or shift. The rubber coating will even help to reduce vibration from revving motors so your lighting will be consistent, and your camera will be stable.
