The Impact SA-OADH-BJ is an accessory that should be in every grip kit for offsetting lights and accessories without needing multiple stands, boom arms, or clamps. Its telescoping arm provides between 17 and 29.5 inches offset from the stand’s main riser. It’s perfect for mounting or hanging a light over a set wall or offsetting a large light fixture from its stand. This arm’s unique design features three 5/8-inch baby pin mounting points for mounting or hanging any combination of light fixtures and modifiers on a single stand. For heavier lights and accessories, remove the base locking knob and the baby receiver becomes a 1⅛-inch junior pin. The more you use the Adjustable Baby Offset Arm, the more uses you’ll find for it. Offsetting a light and modifier from a stand gives you the space you need to place your lens along the same axis while keeping the light stand out of the picture frame. It also allows you more space to tilt a large softbox or beauty dish for a classic Hollywood look. The knurled baby pin design provides a firm and secure hold that won’t let your lights or accessories rotate when attached. The 17 to 29.5 adjustable length gives you the distance you need to hang a light over a set wall while keeping the light stand hidden. The adjustable length also lets you place lights or modifiers in front of the stand, allowing a wider tilting angle for classic lighting.
Three Baby Pins
The Adjustable Baby Offset Arm’s unique design provides three baby pins for mounting an entire shooting rig to a single stand. Focus the power of several lights on a single subject or aim them independently to light an entire area. Use the three baby pins to mount any variety of baby pin accessories and modifiers.
Base Mounting Options
For heavier light fixtures and loads, remove the baby receiver’s locking knob to convert it to a junior pin that’s compatible with combo stands and C-stand turtle bases.
Knurled Baby Pins
The arm is compatible with any light or modifier with a 5/8-inch baby receiver. Knurling assures a firm hold that won’t let your fixture rotate.
Custom KeyGrip Locking Knobs
All KeyGrip stands and arms are made with the same custom locking knobs with identical threads. It won’t seem like an important detail until one of your locking knobs goes missing, bringing your shoot to a standstill. As a quick fix, you can borrow a locking knob from any other KeyGrip stand or arm and continue working.
