Overview

The Oben IBH-11L Inverted Ball Head is an ideal photo and video accessory for capturing perfect panoramic shots. The inverted design places the pan above the ball head and makes it easy to align your camera with the horizon. Placing the panning base above the ball ensures a camera pan will always remain level and it takes the guess work out of panoramic shots. The IBH-11L lets you perfectly align your camera with the horizon before you shoot, and it ensures the horizon level won’t rise or fall when you pan. The Inverted Ball Head’s base has a 1/4-20 mounting socket that’s compatible with tripods with 1/4-20 mounting screws. A 90° notch lets you smoothly reposition the camera from portrait to landscape orientation, and independent pan and leveling locks assure stability. A 360° scale is etched into the base for accurately repeating panning camera moves and maintaining exact distance when stitching together panoramic photos.

Features

Inverted Ball Head

The inverted ball head design means your camera will always be level during a pan shot, and you’ll avoid unwanted rising and sinking horizons when the ball head or tripod legs aren’t level. The design puts the leveling base above the ball, so once the camera is level, it will stay level.

Eleven-Pound Load Capacity

The IBH-11L weighs only 3.75 ounces, but its sturdy aluminum construction accepts cameras and lenses up to 11 pounds. That’s enough to mount a substantial camera and lens. The IBH-11L is compatible with smaller action and point-and-shoot cameras too. With the right adapter, you can even use it with your smartphone.

Arca-Compatible

Just like standard ball heads, the Arca-compatible quick-release plate lets you switch from stable to handheld operation in seconds without interrupting your workflow. Attach a compatible arca-type quick-release plate to all your cameras for effortless camera swapping.

Independent Pan Lock

Unlike single-lock ball heads, the IBH-11L has an independent pan lock. Once the integrated bubble level indicates the base is level, loosening the pan lock won’t change the camera’s leveling or orientation.

Ball Head Locking Lever

The ball head’s locking mechanism is controlled by a locking lever. Once you level your camera, you don’t have to twist knobs or ratchet handles. A quick push on the lever and the ball head is locked in place, and you’re ready for your pan shot.

360° Panning Scale

A 360° panning scale is etched into the panning base so you can accurately mark the beginning and end of a pan when you’re stitching together panoramic photos.
