Overview
Kopul’s Double Barrel XLR Cable Tester quickly diagnoses XLR lines in the studio and live environments. This is an ideal tool for audio engineers to identify good working or faulty cables at a gig or session. The input module is powered with an A23 battery, allowing you to remotely send a signal to the receiver unit attached to the other end of your XLR cable. Test and troubleshoot complex XLR-cable systems in seconds without bringing the cable ends together from across a stage or room. Additionally, you can use phantom power from a mixing console or audio interface to help check numerous audio lines in minutes across a multi-channel snake system.
Features
Remote XLR Tester
Remotely test one or many XLR mic lines and cables, and troubleshoot a working cable in seconds. The Double Barrel input and receiver units allow you to send a signal through XLR cables from each end, without bringing them together into a standard single tester. This is an ideal tool for the studio and stage, and when you prioritize speed and efficiency.
Easy-to-Read LED Indicators
Quickly read and diagnose an XLR cable with the receiver’s three LEDs. Red and green indicators instantly light up to display a good working or faulty cable. The included sticker provides a visual guide of all the possible outcomes so you can easily identify the correct error. Stick the guide to the receiver for convenient recall.
Quick Snake Test
Test multiple XLR snake lines at once, using the phantom power from your source unit like a mixing console or audio interface. Pop the receiver in and out of every channel in your patch bay in minutes.
Rugged and Long Lasting
An all-aluminum housing and matte black finish provide a rugged and durable casing. The A23 battery ensures long-lasting and reliable power.
Reusable Box
Protect the Double Barrel units for storage and transport. Store the input and receiver in the box so they won’t get dinged or scratched while they’re stashed in your bag or sitting in a drawer.
