Battery Grip for Sony a9 III and a1 II Mirrorless Cameras

The Vello BG-S9 battery grip accepts two Sony NP-FZ100 rechargeable batteries to effectively double the runtime of your Sony a9 III and a1 II series mirrorless cameras. You’ll be able to shoot for longer durations—especially useful for video—without replacing your camera’s battery.

An alternate shutter release button allows you to comfortably shoot in portrait orientation, so you won’t have to twist your arm to get the right shot.

The BG-S9 provides secondary controls such as front and rear dials, C1 and C2 function buttons, and AF-ON and AEL buttons, as well as a multi-selector joystick. An extra function button (C5) and rear locking dial provide additional customization. Having these familiar controls means your hand will feel comfortable, and you can keep shooting the way you always have.

A control lock is conveniently positioned around the shutter release button. You can quickly lock the controls to prevent accidentally pressing something while you’re shooting in a landscape position.

The BG-S9 is equipped with a strap mount for attaching a hand grip. Protect the camera against drops while running around a photo set or street shooting. which protects against drops.

A convenient storage slot located in the grip allows you to safely store the camera’s removable battery door while using the grip.

The BG-S9 attaches to your camera’s tripod socket with a 1/4-20 mounting screw for a secure fit. A 1/4-20 tripod socket on the bottom of the grip means your camera retains its mounting ability.

A nonslip rubber grip enables enhanced handling when shooting in portrait orientation, even with cold hands.
