Overview
The Vello BG-N21 battery grip is designed specifically for the Nikon Z7 and Z6 mirrorless cameras and holds up to two Nikon EN-EL15a/EN-EL15b rechargeable batteries (not included). This provides double the power and extends shooting time for photos and videos. The BG-N21 also offers in-grip battery charging with the included USB-C power adapter, and separate LEDs for each battery display their charge status. Using the battery grip makes it easy and more comfortable to shoot in a portrait orientation, without twisting your arm. A convenient control-lock switch ensures you won’t accidentally trigger the grip’s shutter release.

Accepts Two Nikon EN-EL15 Rechargeable Batteries
Double the runtime of your Nikon Z7 or Z6 mirrorless camera. The Vello BG-N21 Battery Grip accepts two Nikon EN-EL15a/EN-EL15b rechargeable batteries so you can keep shooting over an extended time or perform power-heavy video operations. Each battery is housed in separate compartments, making it easier to hot swap the batteries even while shooting video.
Alternate Shutter Release Button
An alternate shutter release makes it comfortable to shoot in portrait orientation, so you won’t have to twist your arm to get the right shot.
Control Lock
A control lock allows you to quickly turn off the grip’s shutter release with a finger. This prevents accidentally pressing the grip’s shutter button while shooting in a landscape position.
In-Grip Battery Charging
An included USB-C power adapter offers in-grip battery charging. This saves you the hassle of removing the batteries every time you need to charge them.
Battery Status LEDs
Convenient LEDs on the rear of the grip light up with the press of a button and display each battery’s charge status. This visual readout allows you to quickly identify which batteries need charging, and which ones are full.
1/4-20 Tripod Mount
The BG-N21 attaches to your camera’s tripod socket with a 1/4-20 mounting screw for a secure fit. A 1/4-20 tripod socket on the bottom of the grip means your camera retains its mounting ability.
