Battery Grip for Canon 5D Mark III, 5DS and 5DS R DSLR Cameras

Double the runtime of your Canon 5D Mark III, 5DS, and 5DS R DSLR cameras. The Vello BG-C9-2 Battery Grip accepts up to two Canon LP-E6 or LP-E6N(H) rechargeable batteries so you can keep shooting over an extended time or perform power-heavy video operations. The dual-bay battery tray allows you to quickly insert and remove the two batteries from the grip and helps speed up your workflow.

The grip features an alternate shutter release, multi-function button, main control dial, and multi-controller as well as AF-ON button, AE/AF lock, and AF point/magnify buttons. These make it comfortable to shoot in portrait orientation, so you won’t have to twist your arm to get the right shot.

This switch deactivates the grip’s control buttons and dials, as well as the shutter release button, without deactivating the batteries installed in the BG-C9-2. It’s perfect for preventing accidental activation while shooting, when you don’t need the buttons but you do need the extra power.

A nonslip rubber grip enables enhanced handling when shooting in portrait orientation, even with cold hands while shooting outdoors in winter.

A dedicated compartment for your camera’s battery chamber cover provides convenient storage and prevents loss when you’re shooting with the BG-C9-2.

The BG-C9-2 attaches to your camera’s tripod socket with a 1/4-20 mounting screw for a secure fit. A 1/4-20 tripod socket on the bottom of the grip means your camera retains its mounting ability.

The BG-C9-2 is equipped with a built-in strap mount that makes it easy to attach a hand strap to protect against drops.
