Overview
Impact’s UBBW32 is a convertible umbrella that features a white satin fabric and a removable black backing to make it one of the most versatile flash modifiers around. When used without the backing, it’s a shoot-through umbrella that’s ideal for portrait photography because it broadens and softens the light from your flash and minimizes shadows. The translucent fabric’s diffusing properties allow you to place your light source closer to your subject for a softer light that’s also great for weddings and fashion. Use the backing to add efficiency to the umbrella when you bounce your light at your subject. The opaque fabric won’t let the light escape or pass through. As a reflective umbrella, the UBBW32 creates a soft light that envelopes your subject with its wide beam. The 32-inch umbrella diameter is recommended for head-and-shoulders portraits of one or two people or a small product setup.
Features
32-Inch Diameter
The UBBW32 translucent umbrella’s 32-inch diameter is perfect for head-and-shoulder portraits of one or two people. It’s small enough to be light and portable, but boasts a wide throw for a diffuse and even light.
Shoot-Through Fabric
The shoot-through fabric softens the harsh light of a flash. Its diffusing properties allow you to move your light closer to your subject. The resulting diffuse light envelops your subject, which is ideal for portraits, weddings, and fashion.
Removable Black Exterior
The removable black opaque exterior prevents light from passing through and escaping the umbrella, which ensures that a lot of the light from your flash or strobe reaches your subject. Experiment with lighting effects by partially removing the exterior and letting the light bounce off of a combination of surfaces.
8 mm Shaft
The 8 mm shaft is a standard size that’s compatible with most umbrella mounts or shoes with integrated umbrella mounts.
