Features

Extends an Audio or DMX Network

If you’ve been running bulky and costly XLR snakes to control audio or lights from the back of the house, Kopul’s 4×4 XLR to RJ45 Network Cable Extender is the solution you’ve been looking for. Send and receive four channels of analog audio, digital audio, or DMX signals to recorders, mixing boards, PA systems, and DMX controllers over a single RJ45 cable, even if they’re thousands of feet away.

Rack Mountable

The 4×4 XLR to RJ45 Network Cable Extender will fit into a standard 19-inch equipment rack for studio, travel, and live event convenience. Reversible rack ears let you decide whether the XLR or RJ45 connectors face the front of your rack.

Passive Design

The RM-4X4XMFRJ45 doesn’t require a power source. Just attach it inline with your microphones or DMX-equipped lights and it will transmit a clean signal without interference or coloration.

Phantom Power Support

The Network Cable Extenders support 48 V phantom power for studio applications. You can operate your studio condenser microphones with phantom power from your mixing board and transmit the mic signal between rooms or studios over RJ45 cables.

XLR Connectors

Gold-plated XLR connectors offer superb signal transfer and corrosion resistance—a plus if you’re transporting the extender to live shows and concerts.

CAT or etherCON Cable Connections

Ethernet cables allow for extraordinarily long cable runs. A well-shielded high-quality Cat 5e, Cat 6, and Cat 7 cable can transmit line level analog signals up to 3000 feet with only minimal signal degradation. etherCon cables are preferred by pros in demanding live event applications due to their locking metal shell.

RJ45 Input Connectors

Each extender has input and THRU RJ45 connectors for each bank of four XLRs. This makes it possible to link each bank of XLR male connectors to the corresponding bank of XLR female connectors. The THRU RJ45 port allows you to add additional XLR ports to your setup with a second 4×4 Channel XLR to RJ45 Network Cable Extender, or one of Kopul’s line of 12-channel and 4-channel XLR network extenders.

RJ45 THRU Connectors

The THRU port allows you to daisy chain your XLR network extenders so you can add additional microphones, instruments, and effects to your setup, even if they are placed far apart.

4-Channel XLR Extender Compatible

The RM-4X4XMFRJ45 is compatible with Kopul’s RM12XMRJ45 and RM-12XFRJ45 12-channel network extenders and Kopul’s XLR4M-RJ45 and XLR4F-RJ45 4-channel network extenders. Add them to your setup and create a complex snake with several different regions for live and studio applications.
